The problem

Volta switched its delivery fleet to electric faster than its depots could keep up. Vans were charged first-come, first-served, so some left at 40% and others sat full while their drivers waited.

What I did

I mapped a depot night from 18:00 to 06:00 with the people who run it, then designed a charging plan that knows tomorrow’s routes, the grid price and every charger’s health.

The route planner shows drivers one number they care about: how much charge they will have when they get back.

Where it is now

In beta with four depots. Energy costs are down 22% and every van has started its shift with enough charge since March.
